Update: Third Year!

Hello!

So I wanted to provide just a mini update today.

So as you know, I'm a third year at uoft now! Time sure does go by fast LOL. I am taking 5 courses this term, and I hope I can manage it. Most of the courses are interesting anyways! Only one makes me fall asleep. Surprisingly, I was surprised at how NOT BORING math history is. It's actually my first class (9am) for most of the week, and I'm always excited for it.

As for stuff outside of classes, I have decided to keep volunteering as a research assistant at my lab. I wanted to see how it's like during the school year, and I hope it's a bit different than the summer times. I also got accepted to become a tutor for this program called "Project: Universal Minds". I found this position through those email newsletters that the school union always sends out. I didn't know they had programs like that, so I applied and I actually got an interview! Also just a few hours ago, I did decide to continue volunteering as an office hour holder for PSA (Psychology Students' Association) because it gives me more of an incentive to come to school early on Thursdays. I have early classes everyday BUT that day, and since I still have to come to school for my lab on Thursdays, might as well force myself to leave early too. I also did apply to become a member of PSA's volunteer committee so I hope I get that position as well. It goes hand in hand with the office hour position thing. If I don't get it, oh well! My schedule is so packed anyways.

Before school started, I did apply to a couple of regular jobs (retail) and work study positions, but I didn't want to go through with it once school started because of the time commitment. I didn't realize how competitive work studies were Q_Q. I didn't apply to much really...I applied to only 10, but I only got 1 interview offer q-q. My availability didnt even fit with their availability anyways >_>. I guess all that applying was all in vain?? I would like to say that my cover letter writing skills got better..but I dont know =-=.

Anyways, that is all. I hope I do really well this third year! I want to end off my third year with a big bang. I should be finished with my math minor by the end of it, which is awesome! I'll be done with my stats minor and psychology major at the end of my fourth year unfortunately :(.
