Hello!! HAPPY NEW YEARS AND A HAPPY 2018.

(side note: this post contains a small review of the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and a small review of the anime Kakegurui)

This new year brings so much excitement and anticipation for more good things to happen. +O+ 2017 was an alright year for me academically wise, but health wise and maybe socially wise, it wasn't the best. Q_Q I have this problem of not wanting to socialize with anyone outside of the select few, but I'm trying to work on that for the 2018 year. I rarely try to make conversation so I am thankful for the people that actually do in my life. Q_Q

Anyways, good news for today! I had an appointment at the clinic today, and they actually cut off one of my medications. +O+ Meaning, I only have to take 4 now. Next visit, they are cutting one more off, and then I'm stuck with the rest for the next few months. Can't wait for it to be over and done with honestly. >_> My least favorite medication HAS TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE OF MY WHOLE TREATMENT SMFH. I also got my blood test done today and even though it was strangely fast (a couple of seconds per tube), it was more painful than the usual LOL. Usually after the procedure is done, you just press down on it for about a minute and it's ok afterwards right. But today, it hurt for a good 5-10 mins after lol. Pretty sure I'm going to have a bruising because atm, it's bright red still. On the bright side, I was that lab's first patient of 2018 LOL.

Later on in the afternoon, I got to hang out with my friends after a long time. +O+ Two of them I have hung out with a couple of months ago for the Thor: Ragnorok movies (same day where I had moxies for the first time). For my third friend, I haven't seen her in almost a year. I thought I did see her in the summer but I never made it to the hangout. Q_Q She studies abroad in another country that's why. You're looking at a future doctor right there. Overall, we did the standard aka movies, dinner and walking around the mall. I rarely ever go to Yorkdale. I went there only 3 times in the past. I'm more of an eaton centre type of person.

THE MOVIE

The movie that we went to watch was Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle 3D.

I initially recommended this movie bc my sister (who came along with me) wanted to watch it, and the reviews seemed ok. Overall, the movie was FUNNY AF thanks to the actors. Most of the actors were really good comedians. The overall storyline was pretty decent, but I felt the ending wasn't that satisfying. Cut out the fast paced romantic scenes, the movie was amazing. It had the perfect amount of humor that I look for in these type of movies.

I did watch the original Jumanji movie when I was a kid, so when I heard this movie came out, I was wondering how it would go about. I never watched the trailer or read the plot q-q. But it was interesting to see that the board game basically transformed into whatever suits the modern times lol.

After this, we went to the #1 bookstore in my heart aka INDIGO. Now let me tell you, I always visit this bookstore every time I go to the mall. Everytime, I always ALWAYS stay in there for at least an hour. Sometimes I stay there for 2 when I'm alone. The manga section is the place that I roam and stay at the most bc I'm always on the lookout for a new good series. I did actually go back to watching anime thanks to my winter break. I got back into it mainly because of this anime I found out through browsing Indigo. I am usually attracted to dark looking covers, because they tend to have dark concepts. Then I would google it at home and see how the anime is.

KAKEGURUI REVIEW

The anime was called "Kakegurui".

It's an anime that's apparently rated R because it's obviously for an older audience because it centres around gambling and has some weird scenes. I honestly thought at first episode, it would be those typical anime that excessively show chest or booty shots etc but nope. The opening, ending and maybe first episode was definitely misleading. I honestly did try to quit the series at episode 3 but something just lured me back into it. First series that I actually binge watched. I finished it within 24 hours. Q_Q It's only 12 episodes long, and roughly 20 mins each.

I like it bc of the voice acting, the graphics, and each episode gets crazier and crazier. I thought this anime would be predictable af BUT NOPE, I WAS PROVEN WRONG LMFAO. It's mainly because the main character herself is very unpredictable. My favorite character that I wish got more screen time was the president (Momobami Kirari), Saotome Mary (supporting character) and Jabami Yumeko (main character). The voice acting for Kirari is just FLIPPING BEAUTIFUL AF. CATCH ME LOOKING UP CLIPS OF THIS CHARACTER ON YOUTUBE. I heard that there is rumours for a second season, so I am DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT BC THE ENDING WAS A BIT UNSATISFYING BUT OPEN ENDED. Favorite episode? It has got to be episode 5. Awesome AF. Highly recommend this anime omg.

After that anime, I got into this one called "Mahouka".

I don't remember it's full name but it'll be the top result if you look it up on google. Great anime that I finished in 5 days...I got into my anime list because of that +O+. Check out my profile here. ♥ myanimelist.net/profile/bellorie

I didn't really get to "mourn" after this anime was finished because I immediately went back into watching my ultimate favorite anime back in highschool: Chuunibyou Demo koi ga Shitai.

I learned that there was another season and more specials and OVAs, AND A MOVIE out, so I had to finish that. This anime was the place where I discovered the name "Mori", thanks to "Mori Summer". She wasn't my favorite character but I just loved the name so much. I went through a similar phase like her though, back when I was in middle school....

Where did this go to...OH OK. INDIGO.

After indigo, we finally arrived to Pickle Barrel. We walked passed the lineup for The Cheesecake Factory and omg the line was hella far and long, and the wait time was 3 hours??? LOL SO NOT WORTH IT. If I'm hungry, I'm never going to wait that long lol.

I was planning to order some breakfast but I saw that the platter had too much food...so I ended up with the classic burger with fries on the side, with my usual iced tea. My sister ordered the exact same thing. I didn't expect much when I saw that it was double layered in meat. BUT OMGGGG IT WAS ACTUALLY SO GOOD. I got tired of a cheeseburger thanks to McDonalds (quarter pounder), but this was just wow. The fries were the best I have ever tried honestly. It wasn't crispy, but when you bite into it, it was the perfect mushy level.

It's hard to describe...but then again, I am the least reliable when it comes to describing food tastes etc. I even give a bad descriptive review when it comes to anything... Q_Q Hence why I never really dedicate an entire post to a review lol. I can never understand how people can go into so much detail when reviewing something. A skill that I lack.

Overall, today was very fun. I was so tired that I knocked out on the bus, and then took a few hour nap at home. Now I am awake and full of energy, but hungry. Q_Q I just had some rice though.

Anyways, have a happy new year and I wish you guys the best for this year. Hoping that it will be a better year than previous years, filled with lots of positive things. ♥ You all worked hard this 2017 year.

Until then!!

side note #1: I may have to organize this post into sections because I honestly didn't expect to go off into another topic. I was planning to just talk about my day.

side note #2: I'm so sad that school is approaching so quickly...it starts on THURSDAY OMFGGGG. WHY. So not ready to be stressed again.
