GREETINGS ALL!

So I just got back from getting a haircut! My hair was getting pretty long and annoying, and I just felt like cutting my hair after a horrible few days of being ultra stressed and being so sick (yesterday was horrible LOL). I'm much better today though, after taking medicine and drinking lemonade with honey, proper sleep etc.

I'm not normally picky about how to cut my hair because my hair is all going to grow back anyways. I do usually rely on the opinions of my mom and sister since I ONLY go to the barber if I go with them and they sometimes have better judgments than I do.

The last time I cut my hair, it was right before my linear algebra final exam...so about April. I experimented with something that I always wanted to try: front bangs.

For the past decade almost, I have always stuck with the same old usual hairstyle: a few inches past my shoulders, with layers. It was a nice hairstyle, always looked nice when it was fresh, and still looked nice as it grew long. I usually just go to the barber once a year anyways, so I didn't want to deal with anything that required a trim.

AFTER THAT WHOLE "I WANT TO TRY BANGS" ERA, yeah, I clearly didn't think about trimming and how fast my hair would grow. ._. Bangs are nice and all, but it requires more maintenance than I'd like. I just usually wash my hair, barely brush it, leave it down or clip it up. I'm clearly not that fancy as a person Q_Q. I could have stuck with my same usual hairstyle, but I wanted CHANGE.

This time, I wanted just shoulder length hair, but with no layers since my bangs were growing out and gave a bit of a layered look to it anyways. I basically wanted to model IU's current hair (a korean singer). I shall link her photos below (most of which are from my favorite show, Hyori's Bed and Breakfast).

I really loved that show. Cried soooooooo much at the last episode.

IU was a part time worker for Hyori's bed and breakfast, and honestly I fell in love with her even more than I did before. I really loved her fashion style (oversized) and her hair style. I wanted to test what I would look like if I got a similar hairstyle to her.

YESSSSSS the big difference between me and her is that she's cute and attractive and I'm just..NOT LOL. Her face is more tiny and oval while mine is on the long side. The girl could wear anything and still look adorable. =-= I wish I had it that easy.

Bangs were a no no for me. I don't know why I thought it looked good on me back in April LOL. Looking back at my photos...hahaha just no...therefore I just opted for shoulder length hair (probably the shortest length I'll ever go for).

The results were shocking. I was surprised at how nice I looked (in the reflection). I wasn't confident with this current hairstyle though so I kept asking around if it actually looked good on me, or if I should stick with my usual hairstyle.

So far, I got good reviews but I don't know yet...I'll check back in a few months and see if I truly do look okay with this current haircut. Like that time when I got bangs, AT THAT TIME, I thought they were ultra cute and looked soooo nice. I looked back on those same photos a month ago, and I was just like "noooo.....whyyyyyy." Sometimes we're blinded by the moment =-= I don't know.

Having short hair is amazing though. Less shampoo, less knots, LESS MAINTENANCE. +O+ My hair doesn't get caught on my backpack straps. That was a major upside.

Downside to short hair: I can't use my clips to clip my hair. I don't even possess an actual hair tie. Clearly, I didn't think that far into getting this haircut.

My hopes with shorter hair is to actually lose less hair. >_> I hate how I keep losing so much hair. ._. If you saw me back a few years ago, the amount of hair I had in the past was about 4-5x more than my current. I used to have the most hair of my whole family, but now I'm basically the same as my mom. ._. I lost a lot of hair due to stress and shampoo changes. Q_Q Mainly stress. I have a low stress tolerance sadly.

Still on the search for the ideal hairstyle for me and I really hope my current one is the one.
