My Travels: Las Vegas

Hello! Recently ya girl went on a mini vacation to Las Vegas, located in the state of Nevada (United States of America). It's a small city that is mostly dependent on the tourism industry from what I see. I have asked the workers there about what jobs tend to be available, and he claimed how males tend to work in restaurants or salons while the females tend to work in the casinos. INTERESTING.

It is a pretty hot area though. The average temperature is normally in the 40s! There is barely any greens in that land...it resembles a desert almost, if you subtract the buildings and such. There were actual cacti man. That's how you know it is hot.

Outside of the main strip area, there really isn't anything much to do in my opinion. My family traveled to Las Vegas only to view the scenery, yet majority of the buildings contained casinos lol. It was really too hot to walk outside for too long...I even developed a canker sore on the first day LOL. I knew what the temperature was going to be prior to coming here...but I was SO not ready for it.

The price of food here was pretty high (as expected from a city full of tourists)...but luckily, we found a Chinatown that had decent prices with lots of Asian restaurants! My parents love asian food too. My mom cannot eat anything else for a long time since she is used to just Vietnamese food since that was all she ate for most of her life.

My stay at Paris Las Vegas was a wonderful experience. Its location was conveniently right in the middle of the strip. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is AMAZING. It has light indicators on top which tell you which parking spots are taken/available and how much are available. The room itself was comfortable and perfect for someone like me. The washroom featured both a shower and a bath tub. Very spacious.

It was a lovely trip with so much new scenery to take in, since it is completely different from Toronto. Though I am thankful for getting to experience how it is like in Las Vegas for a few days, Las Vegas will never be seeing me again LOL. I can only handle so much heat...I'm definitely more of a cold winter person.

The weather and temperature can make or break an experience sometimes. :(

The photo above is of me at the Las Vegas blvd and Bellagio intersection, and features Paris Las Vegas hotel in the background.

PS. I did not include much photos because my internet has been so slow lately. It took nearly 10 mins to upload that one photo above. I don't know why the internet was so terrible lately. It was so slow ever since I came back from the Las Vegas trip. Even at night time when everyone else is asleep, IT IS STILL SOOOOO SLOW. THIS IS NOT NORMAL.

As much as I would have liked to post a lot of photos and give descriptions for each one...I can't. SO, my trip will be summed up with that one photo above. ^^ I shall be adding some highlight photos to my gallery soon, once my internet goes back to normal.

Until then!
