Course Enrolment!

Wait, is enrolment spelt with one L or two L's? I always spelt it with one L but my computer keeps giving the double L version.
Anyways! I just finished course enrolment for my second year! ♥
However, I am on waitlist for two courses atm, which is shocking since they are both math courses (MAT224 and MAT244), and math isn't that much of a popular course amongst university students here at UofT. Sadly, there are other courses that I want to take, but because I don't have priority, I have to wait about 2 weeks before I can enrol in them. Fingers crossed that both of those classes remain relatively empty!!
Course enrolment is always a daunting (did I use this word right??) and stressful experience, despite having a schedule planned beforehand. Sometimes stuff doesn't go your way, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT RANDOM STUFF ALWAYS HAPPENS ON THE MOST IMPORTANT DAYS.
My first year experience was a great example because I had a really late enrolment time, and by the time I logged on, every single one of my classes that I planned prior were full with long waitlists. How AWESOME.
This year, I also had a late enrolment time compared to my peers so I was getting anxious when watching them enrol in their courses during school. When the time came for mine, it was a very very slow moment. The website took forever to load despite my internet being fast (due to high volumes of students entering the website). I had to slowly wait for each class to officially enrol before I could move onto the next class, hoping that they weren't full already.
Course enrolment is the only time where time feels slow and fast at the same time.
Due to this first come first serve basis that occurs at UofT, sometimes I am so envious of other people who go to different schools. Some get their schedules made for them, which saves them from so much stress of planning and researching prior. The only downside to that would probably be having no say in the matter. You have to completely open up your availability for your school. For example:
school: Here is your schedule! All your classes start at 8am!
me: But...I can't go to class that early...and rush hour too...
school: Well, suck it up or fail. :)
me: OK....
school: ALSO, we added in 6 hour long gaps between classes for you!
me: But that is too long...it's hard for me to concentrate at school too...
school: You just have to deal with it. :)
me: K. :/
I don't know, I never experienced it myself Q_Q maybe there is more freedom to it than I think so!
Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful day today, and if you do have enrolment coming up, have fun and good luck with that! Hope your schedules are satisfactory for you!
